“See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, told you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 1:21)
Sometimes I am like the Hebrews – wandering, wondering, and waiting. I question God’s motives and struggle to see his purposes. I try to pretend I’m smarter than Him, only to realize that He’s the only one that can produce water from the rock and nourishment from thin air. I see the giants. And I’m afraid.
Wander with me, courageously trusting in the Lord, who wants to fulfill His promise of good things for us. Let’s be obedient, for the sake of obedience. Let’s believe that God is Who He says He is. Let’s believe in His love for us.
Let’s not fear the giants. God will always be much bigger.
